Ross Thormahlen, M.D.

Dr. Thormahlen was born and raised in Austin, and earned a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, College Station. He went on to earn his M.D. from U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his Internship and Anesthesiology Residency from Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He also spent one year as an assistant professor at Duke Medical Center. Next, Dr. Thormahlen joined the U.S. Army Medical Corps and worked as a staff anesthesiologist at Brooke Army Medical Center as part of their Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Division. He also was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology while at BAMC. Dr. Thormahlen is happily married with two sons. His interests include cardiac, general, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
