Joshua Kollars, M.D.
Dr. Kollars joined Tejas Anesthesia, P.A. in 2009 and currently serves as group Secretary. He is a member of the Business Development Committee and has served as a founding team member of the transcatheter aortic valve replacement, Mitraclip, and Watchman programs at Methodist Hospital’s South Texas Heart Valve Center. He is also a member of the heart and liver transplant teams.
Dr. Kollars earned a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in philosophy from Creighton University, graduating with honors. He attended Mayo Medical School at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he received his doctor of medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California, San Francisco, as well as a fellowship in Cardiothoracic anesthesia at the University of Michigan. He is licensed in the state of Texas, a diplomate of The American Board of Anesthesiology, and board certified in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Kollars is a member of the San Antonio Anesthesia division of Tejas Anesthesia, with a focus on Cardiothoracic and general anesthesia.
Dr. Kollars and his wife have two children. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking and sailing.
