Jehan Elliott, M.D.
Dr. Jehan Elliott joined Tejas Anesthesia in 2015 with a practice focused in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology. A graduate of The University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, she attended Rush Medical College and completed her Anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Il. Dr. Elliott completed her Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. She is licensed in the state of Texas and a Diplomate of The American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Elliott is a leader and co-founder of the Rush Remedy Chapter, an organization dedicated to collecting medical supplies to developing countries. She was the team anesthesiologist on a variety of medical surgical missions, including those to Bangladesh, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. She has performed research on neurotransmitter regulation in the rodent brain and has been the recipient of an NIH Research Award for her work on the hormonal basis of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a topic on which she has published.
